Java needed for matlab-mworks-libraries

My name is Gerick and I'm a PhD student at NYU (I've been using mworks for some months, now). I have been trying to analyze some behavior data collected in mworks on our server, and I haven't been able to do so on our server - I get issues regarding java each time (error message below). When I run my analysis on a local mac, things work correctly. I'm not sure if that's because mworks isn't installed on the server, or where there may be java issues on said server - I guess let me know when you have time!

Thanks very much,

"The class mworks is not defined. Perhaps java is not running."

    Hi Gerick,

Apologies for not responding sooner. I was away on vacation last week.

In order to analyze MWorks data in MATLAB, you do need to install MWorks on the Mac you're using. Beyond that, the only required setup is adding the MWorks tools to MATLAB's search path:

    addpath('/Library/Application Support/MWorks/Scripting/Matlab')

For more information, see the user manual.

No part of MWorks requires Java. Also, "matlab-mworks-libraries" is not the name of any software I maintain. Maybe this is a package developed locally by your lab?
