MATLAB bridge not working

It looks like the latest version does not support the MATLAB bridge for real-time plotting/etc. -- is this correct? This could be a compatibility issue for some users.

    No, that's not correct. The MATLAB bridge remains fully supported.

    Have you pointed MWorks to the correct MATLAB version? (Note that you must restart MWClient after doing this.) If you have, and the MATLAB window still isn't working, then you may need to upgrade to a newer version of MATLAB. As of the current nightly build, MWorks' MATLAB tools require MATLAB R2016b or later.

    If neither of the above suggestions solves the problem, let me know, and we'll figure out what's happening.
